Welcome to Pawnee

News and Notes - updated Feb. 11th, 2010

  • All Pawnee residents are advised to stay out of the water at Ramsett Park Pond. It's not important why.
  • The softball backstops at Harvey James Park should never be used for motorcycle cage stunts. Especially when a game is in progress.
  • Moonlight Skating at Cookler Park Ice Rink has been postponed. It's not important why.
  • We really would like to emphasize again that you should stay out of the water at Ramsett Park Pond.
  • Come sway the night away at our Valentine's Dance at Edward Phillips Senior Center. February 11th from 5-9 p.m. Hear your favorite standards played by Mouse Rat (formerly known as Scarecrow Boat). First 25 people receive an extra dessert pudding or expectorant cloth.

News and Notes - updated Oct. 8, 2009

  • Former Parks Commissioner and Pawnee's 2006 "Distinguished Citizen" Joe Crandall has been cleared of all charges.
  • Have you recently been laid off? No problem! Take a walk in the park and mull over possible career changes. It's affordable (free!), all-natural (outdoors!), and you can meet other non-employees who are walking in the park during the day (networking!).
  • October Movie Night: It was banned from Pawnee when it first premiered. Now for the first time, see Beetlejuice, in its entirety, with only a few edits! Saturday nights at 8:00, all month, in Harvey James Park.
  • Read the Pawnee Journal article on the Sullivan St. pit.
